by alamster in April 5th, 2008
Sometime I got message ‘can’t resolve hostname’, till I use this simple technique I don’t have problem when my ISP dns server get down or when I have to protect my self from porn or phishing content.
I use 4 (four) dns server, two using ISP dns server and the rest using OpenDNS.
Here’s step by step guide to do that :
1. Open TCP/IP properties make sure preferred and secondary dns server filled with information from ISP server dns.

2. Click ‘Advanced‘

3. Click DNS tab.

4. Click Add.

Enter information from OpenDNS :
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
Just simple as that.
When ISP DNS server down, OpenDNS will take into rescue
