What web hosting plan is the best ?

Which company that you like?

My friend asked that question last weekend when he got his first client.

I told him not to worry a lot about hosting company as his client isn’t big and won’t get big hit in first launch. A few thing that he might consider before purchase any web hosting plan is :

Support

Support is very important as we don’t know when a crash happened, some issues that happened in data center such as :

• Power failure
• Hard disk crash
• Sun outage
• Etc

Good support will give information and solution. Solution for the problem, not give another headache.

I ever face that situation when my client call me in the night after he find the website that he want to show to his boss not show up.

I call my web hosting company, submit ticket for asking help plus make call via messenger. Downtime take 30 minutes and no respond from my web host.

Until next week I know that web host just reseller, not first hand seller. I apologize to my client and move his website to top notch webhosting I found from Internet.

List of best web hosting not always end with top 10, top 20 or something end with number but more valuable based on personal experience.

I’m stick for Yahoo web hosting as I avid fan of FreeBSD operating system. It’s stable and Yahoo use it for many years till now. The support also awesome.
