I can believe it, today is my anniversary . What anniversary? Hahaha, just celebrate for my home broadband connection

I use it since 2006 and I have special rate for monthly payment. My ISP give me one public IP for my house. I even can set my own reverse name address. Specially when I have to deal with contract to test the firewall or making mail server for company related job.

The setup for home broadband itself isn’t complex as I see from the exhibition. They came to my house, try to measure the height needed for antenna. After doing survey, they will make suitable antenna for my house. It took 3 days to build custom antenna for me.

They give frequency 5.7 for wireless access. I have to wait for two weeks on wireless equipment. I aware that they have many new customer and everything must setup properly in tight schedule. After waiting for almost 1 month I can see my home broadband access live. I have dedicated access for my house in very good rate. The admin so helpful to solve the problem, even in the night. Just make a call and they will get in touch quickly.

How about the speed?

speedtest is my best friend, in peak connection I still get satisfaction rate download. In pure, I get up to 384 kbps. With ssh activity and browsing around that rate is more than enough for me

I hope everyone will get in internet and the rate getting cheaper for deep internet penetration.
