I just visit my campus in Indralaya and see their lab. Basically the labs getting bigger as many new lab unit made as result of expanded main lab. Physics Chemistry lab is one of primary concern since I’ve been a lecture assistance for 2 years. Nowadays the apparatus getting small and sophisticated.

I remember our hot plates in the lab, we bought it in favor of accidental crash we made when making experiment. My old friend put an ice over the plate just for trying new concept of metal that getting cold and then take sudden hot for see the effect of warming for the metal.

I saw many modern hotplates now, many of them are programmable. Seem good for new student who will face the real world job where everything getting digital. Perhaps PLC concept can get good tandem using right stuff like digital hot plate.

Just use it and let it brake by  using it not by make it get old by doing nothing.
