Google Gears, online and offline colaboration
I don’t know about google gears till I see ‘Offline’ link in my google reader
still curious about the link I click it then follow the screen :
Pop up windows, telling about install google gears
click install
click agree
save file
double click downloaded file will download real file, same like YM
process installation finish
close my browser and reopen
ouch, I think zone alarm only has similar message
I click green icon near ‘Settings’
wow, 2000 items, just wondering how long it will take ?
not long, around 5 minutes
browse ‘Program Files’ , lead me to Google Gears Directory
Interesting, I use google reader for it’s mobility and the same time I use my notebook often too. By deploying google gears I can save interesting articles offline. No need for internet connection.
I still curious about it’s DB (sqlite) . Maybe I’ll check it later after some period
web based application + stand alone program = google gears
hmmm….
fantastic idea, I should check my zonealarm too, ‘allow’ means more security job
